LDAP Importer/Synchronizer

The LDAP Utilities are automatically installed on Esnatech UC systems and are used as a deployment tool that enables an existing LDAP directory (active directory in Windows® 2003) to be imported and selectively replicated to the voice server. This process allows the installers to quickly create voicemail users in large enterprise installs.

There are two major components used by the Office-LinX™ platform:

1. LDAP Imported - enables initial import of organizational structure and mailboxes, public contacts and setup
2. LDAP Connector - allows configuration and settings for periodical synchronization

The LDAP utility allows users to simplify large deployments and enable synchronization of new users created in the LDAP directory with the Office-LinX™ enterprise UC system. With this desired field information, users can add properties such as mailbox number and feature groups into their profile within the LDAP directory. The consistency of look and feel is maintained for users creating an organization, with the added benefit of a reduction in managment time associated with multiple directory stores and structures within an organization.

The advantages of LDAP synchronization

If there are any issues with the LDAP directory, they will not affect the operations of the voice server, the Office-LinX™ enterprise UC automated attendant will still be able to answer and transfer calls 24/7.
